Perhaps the first experimental animation film. A very good introduction to it was written by Hans Richter, an influencial German experimental filmmaker.

"Symphonie Diagonale" has been up at Google and UbuWeb for years. Thanks for uploading this fine copy to the Internet Archive! Read almost all about it in Richter's article.
